FUNDRAISING TO END HOMELESSNESS WITH SOCIAL BITE
Our partnership with Social Bite
We´ve been working with Social Bite since 2020, joining them on their mission to end homelessness by providing homes, jobs, food and support to empower people to transform their lives. Each year they give out over 150,000 items of food and drink, place people into supported employment through their Jobs First programme and provide safe places to call home through accommodation projects like The Social Bite Village.
The Festival of Kindness 2025
At The Castle we're all about bringing people together over delicious, freshly prepared food. Last year, through The Festival of Kindness, we raised over £642,109, providing 128,438 Christmas dinners to those facing homelessness across the UK. This support also extended to accommodation, long-term housing, and employment projects for individuals sleeping rough.
Join us in spreading kindness this festive season!
Together, let’s go even further than last year to support those facing homelessness. Just £2 provides a warm drink, and £5 gives someone a Christmas dinner. Throughout November and December, you can make a difference - simply ask our team to add a donation to your bill, or click the link below to contribute online. Together, we can make a real difference in our communities.
Enjoy great food and great company, while helping those in need.
Fundraising to End Homelessness with Social Bite
Throughout 2025, our Premium Country Pubs teams have taken part in a number of fundraising events in support of Social Bite, including the inspiring 100 Mile Challenge.
The initiative we’re most proud of, however, is The Big Sleep Out. Team members from across our pubs, alongside invited partners, came together in Central London for an overnight sleep out to show solidarity with people affected by homelessness and to raise vital funds for projects helping individuals rebuild their lives. It was a truly humbling experience that brought our teams even closer together. In total, 400 people took part and we’re proud to have raised an incredible £42,000 so far to support Social Bite’s life-changing work.
Joe Honey, a 29-year-old shift supervisor from The Tudor Rose in Coulsdon, has taken things to a whole new level.
Joe has been part of the Premium Country Pubs family for eight years, and last year, ran four marathons in four weeks in support of Social Bite. He raised an incredible £5,000 (and counting!).
This year, he’s raising the bar even higher - taking on an unbelievable 10 marathons in 20 days to support Social Bite’s mission to end homelessness for good. Along the way, Joe will be stopping at 10 of our beautiful Premium Country Pubs, so keep an eye out for him and show your support if he’s passing by your local!
Be sure to follow our Instagram page for updates from Joe’s epic journey. We’ll be cheering him on every step of the way!
